Benefits to pay for a nursing home with skilled nursing has no waiting list. However, for Medicaid to pay for at-home services, Adult Day Care or an Assisted Living Facility, there is a waiting list which is overseen by the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)/Alliance for Aging.

We provide guidance with the ADRC/Alliance for Aging assessment in order to better understand the waiting list assessment process.

The Medicaid Long Term Care benefit generally provides home health caregivers for 20-40 hours per week. Please note that is not per day, it is per week. This is determined on a case-by-case basis which is determined by care needs and services available. The approved hours may change once Medicaid approved after an additional assessment is completed.
